Our client is a leading global provider of energy and commodities business information. With a very long history in its respective marketplace the name is very well respected and well established. The group works across real time news, pricing, analytical services, and conferences, helping markets operate with transparency and efficiency. Due to growth and expansion the group is searching for a Senior Sales Director.
The role as Senior Sales Director will involve no team management and will essentially be a business development role into the emerging markets. Working with Sales and editorial to develop appropriate county/region strategies. Leveraging market research and identification of attractive customer segments and working with the Marketing & Channel Management to create channel strategies.
The ideal Senior Sales Director WILL have experience in the energy and commodities markets. Experience in the emerging markets, South America, Middle East, China, etc. will be an added bonus and contacts and knowledge of this territory will obviously be extremely helpful. Experience working in the newswire/ business information industries will of course be perfect, however candidates from a print/ online/ conference background will also be considered.

Our client, one of the country’s major B2B media groups, with a sterling reputation is currently searching for an Event Director to head up their exhibition department. The group focuses on several extremely profitable verticals. They are the leading UK trade exhibition organiser and currently run hundreds of events across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. It operates major information businesses serving fashion, automotive, construction and media and has numerous leading publications.

As Event Director, although indirectly working across a range of shows, you’ll specifically be in charge of one particular show. All are well established and market leaders in their fields. Other responsibilities will include setting marketing & sales strategies, P&L responsibility and also hands on selling - mainly key account management. Exhibitions obviously vary in revenue targets; however on average each show has a turnover of around £1m per annum. As Event Director you will be managing around 10 – 20 people depending on the show.
