This is an opportunity for an ambitious data journalist to impact the reporting of one of the best-known private equity news services.
Known for their high-quality subscription services, magazines, and content-led events, they have recently built a comprehensive data offering and are looking for an experienced data journalist to collaborate with an established team of reporters and editors.
We are looking for someone with a strong technical skillset with the drive and ambition to be proactive in pitching ideas for stories and models.
Key responsibilities include:
- Using in-house data and sourcing external data to influence story ideas
- Pitch and write data lead stories about private equity deals and trends
- Use data visualisation tools to create dynamic digital graphics
- Use coding to create repeating models for stories (for earnings season, for example)
Key requirements include:
- A degree or significant professional experience as a data journalist
- A good understanding of capital markets and private equity
- Strong technical ability in data visualisation and coding (Python, Power BI, Excel, or Tableau, for example)
