This is an opportunity to join an award-winning insurance news service with an excellent reputation and significant growth plans. They are looking for an experienced journalist with a background in breaking off-diary news stories and writing data-driven analyses.
As deputy editor, you will manage a small team of ambitious journalists covering the business of the insurance industry. You will contribute toward their coverage and take responsibility for breaking the significant market movements. Alongside news coverage, you will work with a team of data journalists and analysts to produce market insights.
Having recently received fresh backing, this is an exciting time to join an already well-established international brand.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing and editing the work of a small team of journalists
- Developing a network of executives in the insurance industry to break news on significant industry developments
- Working with analysts and data journalists internally to write impactful insights
- Attending and speaking at international conferences
Key requirements include
- A track record of breaking exclusive, off-diary stories in business or financial news
- A demonstrable interest in insurance and experience covering insurance is advantageous but not required
- Some editing experience, management experience is advantageous but not required
