With more than twenty-five years’ experience at the company, Rupert is our Managing Director. He has covered every sector of recruitment in his time at the company, gaining a significant number of contacts as a result - he provides specialist support to our teams across all sectors, while also currently working directly with our PR team.
Rupert went from gardening to recruitment consultancy, being one of few Londoners to be accredited by the Royal Horticultural Society. He has previously served as Chair of the Marketing, Media and Creative sector group of the REC, the industry’s leading trade association.

Julia recruits healthcare communications and also legal and financial analysts, reporters and editors. These are for agencies and pharmaceutical companies, and for specialist (financial, legal, etc) news and information services respectively.

Outside work, if she’s not in the gym or in the pub, she’s likely to be cooking or have her head in a book. Julia twice went around the world for more than a year, chasing kangaroos and editing news for a Thai newspaper.

Jonathan recruits for sales, marketing, operations, content and tech roles, specifically for events (business conferences, exhibitions, trade shows) and business intelligence/information companies.
After leaving University with a degree in culture, media and society, Jonathan moved into the education sector spending time working as an English teacher in South Korea and Spain. He spends his free time playing and watching sports – hoping that Newcastle United’s fortunes will improve – and travels as much as possible.

Ben works with media and intelligence businesses (including newspapers and intelligence platforms) looking to hire specialist journalists, analysts, editors and writers.
In his spare time he enjoys long walks in the parks and baking.

Maz is an experienced consultant, having worked across multiple teams here at Media Contacts. She is currently recruiting widely across healthcare and medical communications..
Maz began working at Media Contacts after graduating from Edinburgh University with an MA in politics. In her spare time you’ll find her working her way through her list of London pubs and restaurants.

Holly recruits for the PR and communications sector. She is a graduate in film and media from London Metropolitan University. Previously Holly studied musical theatre and performed in the West End's Matilda the Musical. Holly loves catching up with family and friends on the weekend with a cold aperol spritz.

Meghan graduated in Business Management and has previous experience marketing for a sports company and working with a major retail bank on a consultancy project. In her spare time, she’s either watching or playing football and enjoys spending the weekends having drinks with friends. She also likes to travel as much as possible.

Samantha, originally from San Antonio, Texas, graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire with a BA in contemporary dance. Before joining Media Contacts’ PR team, she gained experience in healthcare and also used to teach dance. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, travelling, baking, reading, and hanging out with friends at the pub.

Caitlin works within the Editorial team. Having recently completed a philosophy degree from Durham University, Caitlin joined Media Contacts following a gap year in which she spent time volunteering in Nepal, backpacking Europe, and working for a local charity. In her spare time, you will find her vibing with friends or making new ones.

Ayla joined Media Contacts in 2023 as our Office Manager. She has an MSc in Economics from Birkbeck and has a range of office management experience from multiple management consultancies, a think tank, a charity and a research company. In her spare time, she spends time with her three kitties and keeping fit. If you are early enough, you can find her running in the local park most mornings.

Emily recruits for sales, marketing, production, and operations roles in the events sector. She is a graduate in Sociology and Politics with a Year in Data Analytics and spent a year living in Singapore, travelling extensively through SE Asia. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing tennis and walking dogs.

Paul has recruited for the broadcast and wider media space for the last 14 years, placing individuals and project teams that have delivered technology change on many high-profile broadcast/media projects across the UK and Europe. Outside of work, he enjoys family life and is a lifelong Watford supporter, experiencing some highs and many lows over the years. He also has a love for British cinema, developed and fuelled during the 5 years he was based at the heart of the British film industry, Pinewood Studios.

Emma is part of the sales, marketing, production and operations recruitment team. She recently graduated from the University of Warwick as an avid member of the hockey team with a degree in sociology. After receiving her degree, she worked in sales for a 6-month period. She loves baking, cooking, early morning jogging and budget traveling through Europe (as a native French speaker, this often comes in handy).
